Position: Full time or Part time Entry Level Composites Technician/Shop Hand at our shop in South Boston, Virginia 24592.
Job Description: AJ Hartman Aero is looking for a detail oriented and driven individual to fill a full time or part time position primarily making carbon fiber parts along with other shop duties. Advancement opportunities are available as skills are gained. Some duties and responsibilities will include:

Learning to produce our easier and smaller parts according to our SOP's

Assisting with layups of larger, more complex parts

Maintaining a clean and organized shop

Packing and shipping fulfillment
- Assisting in mold making
Qualifications: The applicant should be eager to learn the steps to produce our parts. Previous experience with composites, especially vacuum bagging and infusing is a big plus, but not a necessity as we will train you. Ability to maintain a high attention to detail is very important. Experience with body work, buffing and polishing, FSAE experience are all beneficial.
An average week would be approximately 75% making carbon fiber parts. 5-10% cleaning, organizing, and maintaining shop equipment. 5-10% boxing and shipping. Remainder will be assisting with with odds and ends around the shop.
Compensation will be based on skills and experience and if you are applying for full or part time. We can provide 2 weeks of PTO time along with a health insurance stipend after 60 days.
