These are the same exact rods we use on our GT350 splitter kits. Several people now have used them on other years and model S550 Mustangs with great results and are now available as their own part. These compressible splitter rods allow your splitter to move up almost 1", while being solid in the down direction. Aside from giving you a way to support your splitter, this will lessen the impact on your splitter from scraping the track, hitting the apex curbing, and even lessen the chance of the splitter digging into the dirt and getting ripped off during an off track excursion. They can be had with clevises on both ends pressed on (standard) or pick the "quick pin" option if you want them to quickly unhook from your splitter. This will replace the pressed in pin with a clevis and cotter pin.  The other option is the "lock up" option. If you select this, the rod will have an extra hole drilled in it and come with a cotter pin to allow you to lock the splitter in an UP position. This will give you approximately .75" of extra ground clearance which can be very helpful when loading and unloading your car on a trailer. Don't forget to add some of our splitter biscuits to your order to protect your splitter from the inevitable scrapes it will see.
